CES Interview Series
“This was a flawlessly executed project, and we couldn’t have done it without The Kotecki Group.” - Anthony Iaffaldano, Business Insider
The Kotecki Group produced and hosted a video talk show at CES 2017, the annual technology gathering in Las Vegas led by the Consumer Technology Association. Sponsored by Business Insider and CTA itself, the show gave valuable exposure to select brands while engaging viewers both during and after the event.
Interviews with leaders from Facebook, T-Mobile, Pinterest, Waze, Spotify, AOL, Lenovo, and many other companies took place at C Space, the section of CES dedicated to advertising, content, entertainment, and marketing.
The Kotecki Group produces similar interviews at other conferences, trade shows, and events. Please contact us to be part of the conversation.
“The Kotecki Group produced content that will define the C Space brand for future partners and attendees.” - Anne Campbell, Consumer Technology Association
purpose of the project
The C Space Studio gave brands a compelling platform to highlight their leaders and ideas.
By selectively offering interview slots, CES and Business Insider strengthened relationships with their brand partners.
As one of the world's fastest-growing news brands, Business Insider knows the power of professional video. The C Space Studio gave them an efficient place to produce it.
The videos also helped CES engage its audience both during and after the event. Organizers have found a high demand for new CES content after attendees leave Las Vegas.
Rather than buying a traditional booth or banner, Business Insider stood out with a video production studio directly aligned with its media brand.
Prominent logo placement in each video helped the BI brand reach far beyond the venue.
"Weeks after the show, we are still promoting the videos and seeing great traction. The videos are amazing. We love this content.”
Tina Anthony, Director of Digital Strategy, CTA

“Business Insider got everything we wanted out of the C Space Studio. We were pleased with the caliber of people we attracted and the conversations we were able to have.”
Anthony Iaffaldano, VP, Corporate Marketing, Business Insider

“The Studio dramatically increased the overall value of C Space. Since our on-stage speaking slots are limited, the C Space Studio is a crucial way for us to highlight additional voices.
"We were also pleased to add value to other partnership deals by offering interviews in the Studio.”
Anne Campbell, Director of Business Development, CTA
To create content that would remain relevant beyond CES, the 10-15 minute conversations focused on innovation and future trends rather than recent company updates.
Our team produced full-length and highlight versions of each interview. Here's a clip of Andrew "Boz" Bosworth, Facebook's VP of Advertising and Business Platform and former Harvard teaching assistant to Mark Zuckerberg.
Over two days, James Kotecki hosted 17 interviews in the C Space Studio. Reporters from Business Insider hosted nine more.
You can watch all the interviews here.
CES provided a 20 x 30 ft. space for the Studio on the main C Space floor. Part of the space was a lounge space for guests and their colleagues.
The Studio itself included three robotic cameras as well as high-quality audio and lighting equipment. The crew switched between cameras while recording, effectively editing the video while they were shooting it.
To produce videos quickly, the C Space Studio also included on-site editing equipment and additional computing power to speed compression.
The Kotecki Group relied on professionals from Cramer, including:
- A technical producer to oversee all aspects of the shoot.
- A robotic camera operator.
- An audio engineer.
- A lighting technician.
- An editor to cut videos and polish them with appropriate graphics.
We also brought in Josh Dasal from Kaboonki Creative as our creative producer. Not only did he provide invaluable planning guidance, he also joined us on site as the main interface with the production team.
Josh kept everything running smoothly, allowing James to focus on coordinating and interviewing guests. After giving critical attention to every interview, Josh worked with our editor to shape the finished products.
